“Many thanks for your very informative and eye-opening inspection report on Friday.  We still bid in the auction on Saturday, but with a lower maximum than we’d been considering before we spoke to you, and we pulled out when it went past that figure.  We’re not too disappointed, mainly relieved that we got the inspection done”!
